Ok im now 40weeks and 4 days overdue!!!! Hurumph!!!!

Honestly, when is the little one going to show himself?!?! The worst thing is that i feel really good, full of energy and ready for anything. Im still working out and walking etc and not feeling much impact from it….surely i should be feeling rubbish and tired by now?! Suppose i really shouldnt be complaining though although it makes me think that im still so far away from labour.(...)

Im 40 weeks exactly today (7th May 2010).

Im so ready for baby to be born now. I thought he would be early but looks like i was wrong now. Im having lots of braxton hicks contractions at the moment, which means that Joel is freaking out and timing them!! I do keep telling him that they arnt the real thing but i think he wants to make sure, bless!!

I didnt realise so many people were excitied about the baby, im having constant texts and calls to find out whats happening, even even people that i havent spoken to in ages have been in touch. its really nice to know that people are just as excited to be honest.

Ive been walking, cleaning, eating curries, having rasberry tea everything that you are supposed to do to start you off but no joy as yet.

Lets see what the weekend brings!!!

I’ve got to 40 weeks, well actually 39 weeks and 4 days but its close enough.

Im actually feeling pretty good if im honest. I had a tough day on saturday where my hips and back hurt so bad i was hobbling around but now i feel great. I did wonder whether saturday was the day because of the back ache but unfortunatly it wasnt.(...)

38 weeks!!

Well 38 weeks now and counting!!!

It seems that baby has dropped ALOT over the last week or so. How uncomfortable can this little baby make me……the answer is VERY! Oh and my feet are swelling more, and my hands, and my legs..infact pretty much everything is full to the brim of water!!

Not sure about anybody else at this stage but all kinds of emotions are happening. One moment im really excited to meet this little person we have created, the next im worried about him being here worrying that the drama is going to start and want him to stay in my tummy (thats not true ofcourse as being the size of a whale isnt fun)!!(...)

Well im 37weeks now exactly which also means ‘Full Term’!!! Hmmmm sounds very worrying to me!!

As baby could be born at any minute ive been spending my time frantically washing and drying clothes and babies bedding and worrying everytime i leave the flat my waters are going to break. Hopefully it wont be in Asda, could be very embarrasing, or to be honest on my living room carpet (its a very light cream colour haha)(...)

Midwife, Antenatal Class, Sleepless Nights

Hello everyone,

Well, ive been to see the midwife and she said that baby is in the right position (head down) thanks goodness, although the training midwife told me his head was ‘engaged’!! As you can imagine we got a little bit nervous but the midwife confirmed he was just head down.

We have had our last antenatal class aswell which is abit bizarre as they seemed to have gone VERY quickly making the last 3 months fly by. Its funny to see how everyones tummies had grown over the time.(...)

Relaxed Atmosphere At Bumps

We came from Hitchin Today, very pleasent staff in nice comfortable suroundings.
Wonderful to see the baby in a relaxed atmosphere where you do not feel rushed this is well worth the money to get a 30 week scan.

[Q. What did you like about your scan] Everything, excellent service, hence the reason i’m a regular here at bumps with my 1st and 2nd baby. Sharon the sonographer is in one word FANTASTIC, very calming, relaxing, reassuring, talks you through every step of your scan.

Diane’s Friend Recommened Her for a 4D Scan Today

I was recommended by a friend as I was told Bumps was a professional service with friendly staff. Upon my arrival I was greeted with knowledgable staff and made to feel very welcome.

Baby had his hands over his face to start with but the sonographer was really patient and after a little walk she scanned me again and produced some excellent pictures we we are really pleased with.

I would definitely recommend Bumps to anyone, they are so friendly and I enjoyed my visit thoughoughly.
