While over-the-counter tooth whiting products are relatively unexpensive, they don't work as well as the methods your dentist uses for bleaching teeth. Some of the time they can be hard to apply, messy, and even aggravating to use. Tooth lightening systems that you purchase at the retailer aren't as alright as a dental tooth bleaching system, which means it may take a few to several months to see results and even though your tooth will look detectably brighter, they will never be as white as they could be. The dentist will use an assortment of tooth-shaped porcelain tabs (each of which is a slightly different color) and compare each tab with their patient's tooth. The dentist will then determine which tab seems to match their patient's tooth color the best and then record this value in the patient's chart. In some instances the dentist may also choose to document the pre-treatment shade of their patient's teeth by taking a picture. You do have options. A lighter smile is much quite a bit easier to achieve than you may think. Whitening systems obtained over-the-counter contain a terribly minor concentration of Carbamide Peroxide, which is the necessary component in most tooth whitening systems. Otc Tooth lightening products can give you a whiter smile, but it takes a quite a while to see any discernible deviation. Dental Lightening Trays are systems that you can obtain from your dentist. With regular use, this system can give you superb results. One word of preindicative; the whitening solution that is used with the trays is immensely powerful and can cause your tooth or gums to become oversensitive. Some of the time the nerve of the tooth can even get bothered when the carbamide peroxide sinks through the enamel into the dentin. The price tag of having a tray custom made to fit your mouth can be a bit expensive. Lightening toothpastes can lighten your tooth's color by about one shade. In contrast, light-activated whitening conducted in your dentist's office can make your tooth three to eight shades lighter. Tooth Lightening Strips are terrifically popular and can be obtained in any drugstore. Like the trays, they are made to be worn for some hours. Because the strength of the carbamide peroxide is half the strength located in bleaching trays, meaning that they take longer to attain the desired results. Tooth lightening strips do come with a few difficulties. Some of the time they don't adhere well to your teeth. |
